The most amazing food I have ever had! We ordered the oxtail platter and the jerk chicken wings. SO GOOD! Great owners, highly recommend trying their food!!!
The food was so good and great portion for the price! The employee was wonderful. Just like any mom-pop shop that sells food( ex: Chinese etc), it was not somewhere I would seat and dine unless it is for a quick bite. It is designed that way intentionally I think.
Amazing flavors and fall-off-the-bone meat. The food is delicious and the spices have a good kick to them, though you can opt for a milder taste if you prefer (ask for the sauce on the side instead). The oxtail is a best seller, so get there early before they run out. The portion sizes are very filling--a small is plenty for individuals and the large is good for sharing. The facility is okay, and while there are two tables with some stools, you're meant to take your food out to enjoy it. The owner is super friendly and a great host. Overall, an excellent experience--definitely a place for return trips.
Absolutely loved our experience here at Island Pride. Everything was so well seasoned. My favorite was the jerk chicken! We also got the oxtail too with the perfect flavor and tenderness! Looking forward to our next time.
Love this place, Chef is definitely one of a kind..... Love the food, Love the customer service, they really care about their customers..... The portions are huge and the price is great.....Has the best tasting yams they are so good. This food is definitely made with LOVE
My first time going & The guy asked if I wanted ox tail sauce on my Mac & cheese. I replied yes without knowing what it is because I enjoy trying new food. BEST decision ever. I’m hooked & will be back for more. portion size & price was reasonable. Food so good, I went back to tell them it’s delicious
I must say that I rarely leave reviews, but I had to take the time out today to write one. With that being said, today was my second time going to Island Pride as after my first experience last week I had to come back again!!! The food is truly delicious and made FRESH TO ORDER. I had a great conversation with the Chef as he was prepping my meal. He truly enjoys what he does and might I say, he does it WELL! The restaurant is very clean and the people are extremely friendly. Everything I have gotten so far has been absolutely amazing. The oxtails, curry shrimp, stewed chicken and jerk chicken have been a true joy to eat. I cannot say enough good things about this Island Pride. Ordered Oxtail and Curry Goat. Food was excellent and as you see the portions were huge. I packed some away for 4 people. The platters served 3 each!! Ordered via DD but I may go on person next time to say hi.
